there is a great quilt that i believe is on almost every Pintrest quilter's board titled "Oh My Stars".....i pinned it in a couple different color variations, but i kept thinking to myself where have i seen these stars before, didn't i make a quilt like this many years ago, taught it as a class, did some digging and here it is only i did the stars in the scrappy homespuns not the background.....and now someday i'll be making it again with the scrappy background because i love it that way too.....
Oh My Stars but this quilt is gorgeous!! What a nice find!!

ReplyDeleteyears and years ago (make that 30) I once read from an interior designer who favoured quilts with a varied and not-white background. It makes her designer and my quilter hearts very happy. This "Oh My Stars" fit the category very nicely. Beautiful, peaceful and classic.
ReplyDeleteI adore this version! It's so warm and homey :)
ReplyDeleteI was wondering, do you hand quilt your little quilts? They are all so precious.
Hi Cheri, I remember this quilt. It was the quilt I made in the first class I took from you way back when - better than 15 years ago. I always get positive comments on "My Stars" quilt and still have a baggie of homespun squares from this quilt stashed away. Still quilting after all these years. Terry
ReplyDeleteCheri - This would be a fun project for another 'quilt along'. We could all make it any size we want. Wouldn't that be fun?!?
ReplyDeleteI love this too!
