remember this variation of a sawtooth star block quilt that i started in my thursday quilt class awhile ago.....finally got some appliqued leaves and berries added, calling it Pepperberries.......
As I am working on the last block for the alphabet quilt , I looked back at the photo of the whole quilt and thought , "the bird, I didn't get the bird". So, is this a "I get to add on," or is the bird coming? I have to tell you this is a labour intensive quilt for me as I have pieced it by hand and have had to rip out and re do X and Q. I have also done it in acid greens, purples and turqoises with a bit of coral/copper. It has been a great help as I am my husbamd's care giver and he is more alert and focused if I am there chatting every once in a while. Thanks for your great projects. I usually do them as this is the year I have a need to prove something can come of nothing and stitch by stitch things get finished. This year finished seems very important. Thanks again. Ethel Snow

Bonne idée les appliqués aux extrémités!!!
ReplyDeleteI like how the corners on the star blocks lead your eyes throughout the quilt. Good design.
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt and the name. It is so beautiful. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteLove it!!
ReplyDeleteHow pretty! And I love the name. A lovely name just adds a new dimension to a quilt, doesn't it?
