peppermint sticks.....



a simple little holiday quilt......
cutting.....
for peppermint sticks~ 1&1/2" x 3&1/2" pieces, fifteen per row.....
muslin~ sashing between rows 2&1/2" x 15&1/2"
top and bottom border 3"x 13&/2"
side borders 2" x 20&1/2"

I featherstitched with green floss on either side of peppermint stick rows......

Christmas just arrived at my house.....

two boxes arrived today filled with Christmas vintage style decorations.....
paper and feather trees, vintage ornaments, tinsel garland, mercury glass Mother and Child..... the small goodies were wrapped in tissue and inside the Christmas box, which is a definite extra treat!









and a wonderful bottle brush tree wreath.....love





hate to have to put it all away for the next six weeks.....

all blocks use the same five fabrics - four dark to light
five light to dark
finished block size is 7"
