a christmas greeting....

"there's more, much more, to Christmas than candlelight and cheer; it's the spirit of sweet friendship that brightens all year. it's hope reborn again, for peace, for understanding and for the goodwill to men"

primitive angel.....

sharing my new primitive angel i purchased from Primitive Basketcase, love, love love her....don't make dolls myself, i'm deficient in the stuffing skills needed for that art.....not alot or any sewing being done lately to many other holiday activities going on, today we're making our Christmas Sugar cookies & decorating them, taking the grandkids to the 99 cent store for their Christmas shopping and they're staying with us for a couple of days, definitely no sewing but lots of laughter, snuggles, dress up, legos, and such.....
hope your enjoying your holiday season.....

got our tree....

just thought the tree looked cute in the rumble seat of the Model A ....
although after getting tree back home and taking off again to run other errands, then having a car full of stuff and greg leaving the turn signal on (has no beeping noise to let you know that) low & behold the car in dead!!! what now dear?  so since i know nothing about driving a stick shift i get the fun of pushing this cute green car so he can pop start it....as of this the car has lost it's cuteness for awhile....
now sweaty....
but my Genie bra held up just fine!
enjoy your weekend  cheri

as seen on tv.....

i'm a child of the sixties and that means going braless most of the time, i know this is way too much information!
anyway have started to be more cognizant of wearing at least a sports bra during the day, still find it uncomfortable.....my daughter told me about the genie bra said everyone raves about them and now i'm a proud wearer & raver of this most comfortable bra i've ever worn.....
enjoy your bra on or off day.....

greg's leftovers quilt....

i did not make this block pattern up....first saw & was inspired by Lori @ Humble Quilts when i saw it on her blog, which i know most of you have followed way before me...didn't pay attention to her block size & did do a different layout....
my finished block size is 6"
the four patches were made with 1&1/4" strips
the alternate squares are 2" for small & 3&1/2" for large
i made 100 squares and most are with a light & dark four patch & one background but then every once in a while i threw in a more scrappy looking block for just because....
