december's little primitive quilt, inspired by an antique doll quilt....
all half square triangles are made with 2&3/8" squares cut once diagonally and alternate squares are cut 2"

this is november's little primitive gathering baskets quilt....

november's quilt sharing....

my cutting sizes for a 4" finished basket block....
for half square triangles cut background & print fabric squares 1&7/8", cut diagonally once....
cut a 2&7/8" square, cut diagonally once for basket....
cut a 1&7/8" square, cut diagonally once for basket feet....
from background cut a 2&7/8" square, cut diagonally once and two 1&1/2" x 2&1/2".....
center print block is 4&1/2"
setting side triangles cut a 7" square, cut diagonally twice and corners are cut 3&3/4" square, cut once diagonally....
borders are 5&1/2" wide.....

october's primitive quilt....

here are the cutting measurements for october's primitive little quilt....
four patches made with 1&1/2" squares
alternate blocks are 2&1/2" squares
for setting triangles cut 4&1/8" squares, cut diagonally twice...corners are 2&1/4" squares, cut diagonally once
top and bottom border are 2&1/2" wide...sides are 1&1/2" wide
didn't even notice that one of my four patches was flipped till i took the picture, will you do that too?

september's quilt....

this is the little primitive quilt i put together for september...

i made four squares put them together with 2&1&2" sashing and a little nine patch....

august quilt sharing....

just finished drying in the sun from it's tea spraying is august's primitive quilt, pretty little but it's mighty hot to be binding a quilt much larger than this....of course you can make lots & lots of these little blocks if you like....
puss in the corner block...
from light cut four 1" squares and one 1&1/2" square
from print cut four 1"x 1&1/2"
alternate squares cut 2&1/2"
for setting side triangles cut square 4&1/8", cut diagonally twice
corners are 2&1/4" square, cut diagonally once
border is cut 1&1/2" on sides and 2&1/2" on top and bottom

july's quilt...

here's a little primitive quilt for a july sewing day....
for all half square triangles cut 2&3/8" squares, cut in half diagonally, from some lights and dark scraps....
all squares are cut 2"....
border is 1&1/2"wide....

black squares cut 2"
setting side triangles cut 3&1/2" square cut diagonally twice
corners cut 2" square cut diagonally once
border is cut 5" wide
and now you've got a new small quilt...

can't get much more simple than this....

april's primitive quilt...

for each hour glass block cut two  1&1/2" squares from light and one each light and print 1&7/8" square, cut in half diagonally... sew light and print triangles together to make half square triangles, sew together with light squares....
cut alternate squares 2&1/2"
for setting triangles cut...
sides 4&1/8" cut diagonally twice
corners 2&1/4" cut in half diagonally once
fist border strips 1" wide
outside border strips 2&1/2" wide

make four or more, of course, i added a 1&1/2" muslin sashing and a 1&1/2" black square between my four blocks....
sorry this all posted backwards, should be finished quilt first, still dealing with awful cold and my head is a little foggy!!!    sounds like a good excuse to me...enjoy, cheri

this is the block layout....

march quilt, part two

then you will need to make the same sections as part one adding a black 1&1/2" strip on each side
cut again into 1&1/2" sections
make four nine patches using black and muslin 1&1/2" squares

this is what you will need to sew together first...all green strips 1&1/2"x 30"
you will need one each muslin 1&1/2", 3&1/2", 5&1/2"x30"
cut into 1&1/2" sections

febuary's quilt

this is my febuary quilt to share, no hearts but still given with fondness....
          for each star block....
from muslin cut four 1&7/8" squares, cut diagonally once
from red cut one 2&1/2" sq  and  one 3&1/4" square, cut diagonally twice
cut four 1&1/2" squares from red   cut one 2&1/2" square
        piecing stars....
sew muslin triangles to each side of red triangle...sew two of these to center square on left & right side...sew small sqs to either ends of the other two...sew to top & bottom...you've got a star...
make eight or how ever many you want, sew into rows alternating star block with a 4&1/2" gold square....
now you've made a fun little or bigger quilt....  enjoy cheri

if you don't a project going yet here's a easy one for you....
cross blocks are made by sewing a 1" print strip between two 1&1/2" muslin strips, cut into 1&1/2" sections....then sew a 1" x 3" print piece between those sections....alternate blocks are cut 3" square....see sew easy!
