pieces from days gone past....

these are some of the tole painted pieces i did long ago....my ex mother in law passed away and in cleaning out the house her daughters gave me pieces that i and my kids had made for her years ago....so many memories of those long ago painting days befor i ever thought of picking up needle & thread....will donate these to a local thrift store of course keeping all my children's art work....
sorry haven't been posting on a regular basis lately have been busy putting together a baby shower for my daughter last weekend and now getting all ready for a house full for Thanksgiving....all hustle & bustle not much sitting and stitching, in fact i haven't been at my machine for over a week and i'm starting to feel it....need to get out there for a day of creative rejuvenation, hopefully soon....
enjoy  cheri

We are all so busy this week, but I steal an hour or so every once in a while to catch up with everyone and to take a breather. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, Hugs, Jeanie in RI

I need to do the same thing, lots of old christmas things that are not things I want anymore, though some I think I can prim up;)

It's always interesting to see what our passions were in the past. Enjoy your holiday.

Funny - we just got a package in the mail from my husband's step sister - her mother (my husband's estranged step mother) recently passed away - and all the family photos, etc. were packaged up and returned. I guess I was surprised she had even kept any of them...Wishing you good luck with getting ready for your company - the craziness starts tomorrow for me - but thankfully, it won't be at my house....Wishing you a wonderful holiday....Smiles & Thanksgiving Hugs ~ Robin

My Company/family is coming early. The Girls want to do a CRAFT day tomorrow. Should be fun! Hope you get in a little fabric therapy, even if it is just folding some napkins or or spreading out the tablecloths. I added an extra quilt on all the guest beds. That was fun!

I use to do tole painting, but haven't painted anything in years. I am adicted to quilting. Have a GREAT Thanksgiving!
