apple brown betty....

a day for making half square triangles in various shades of brown and muslin....
cut sixteen 1 & 5/8" squares of each muslin and browns, cut in half diagonally once and so them back together, you should have thirty two half square triangles when done, that's enough for today......
see you bright and early tomorrow.....
p.s. i did throw in one odd color, go for it.....

How big are our squares? Thanks!

That was my question exactly! I use a different process to make my half square triangles and need to know what the finished size of the square will be... Thanks Cheri!

My question, too! I like to trim off the points and make sure my squares are the size I need.

I'd like to know about the same thing - the size of finished/unfinished HSTs :) Thank you!!

Ooooo...I am loving the progress of this project, even though I'm not currently stitching it...perhaps I should play catch-up.
I can't wait to see it all come together!

i seem to remember an AWESOME thing that you would do for these where you would sew together 2 squares completely around the perimeter, then you would cut in an "X" and you would end up with 4 1/2 sq triangles......personally, i think that is the best method (didnt you invent that?!)
