we are getting so close to the end of the alphabet......summer is going by so fast.....my two grandkids in Missouri, Dominic & Olivia have already gone back home and back to school, Olivia started kindergarten this year as will Sofia on Monday coming up.......Cooper & Analisa will start back to school the end of August......Lucy is growing way to fast also hit 6 months off and running, almost literally, besides crawling, sitting and eating firsts she is already pulling herself up into a standing position......way too much for gramma......(my mother swears i was walking at 7&1/2 months, my third son was at 8 months) so we shouldn't be surprised.......Lucy's mommy ( my daughter) is off work on workman's comp. for an as yet undetermined amount off time, so i will be having Lucy with me a little less but i couldn't go cold turkey...... so i "should" be back at my sewing machine soon i hope, need the humidity to go away before i can spend too much time in my unairconditioned sewing room, it's a detached used to be garage room, lots of space but not livable in this weather and it's too dang humid to move it all in the house, so i'll just play with Lucy a couple more days.......

Lucy's 6 months old.....already crawling, sitting up and eating sand all by herself.....

love my new furniture.....

this red leather electric recliner and two flower chairs arrived last week just before we took off for our beach camping trip......oh i am so in love with them, went furniture shopping months ago, ordered off swatches that i liked but when i finally got to see them large i was blown away......greg had wanted a recliner but it had to fit within my parameters, soft leather, my color choice and no drink holders and this one does beautifully......i wanted chairs where my feet touched the floor while sitting or relaxing on a foot stool, picked two chairs, non matching shapes but matching in fabric, i was drawn to this choice right away, the red and white are raised in chenille tufts......the red for the couch was chosen to compliment the chairs.......now back home and excited to rearrange the living room......
the furniture arrived just before we were leaving for the beach, so i just had the delivery guys just set pieces where ever...... we arrived back home today, unpacked and i went out to check chickens and do a little watering came back inside and greg was sound asleep snoring in his new recliner happily.....well i went to get the laptop and start my checking emails, blogs and Pintrest and noticed it was unplugged, must plug into laptop now so it can start charging, must have come unplugged while i was moving things for the delivery guys, dang somehow the end that plugs into the laptop is stuck in the recliner, which is reclined with greg snoring away.....quietly moving a side table, lamp and jerking on the cord, WoW! it's really stuck, lay down feeling around under the couch to see if i can get it unstuck...... Duh!!!! it's the cord for the electric recliner i'm trying to rip out of the couch, thank goodness i didn't succeed in my efforts or i would be calling a repair tomorrow!!!!!
going to have to separate those cords during rearranging so i can't make that mistake again......
