home again....

back home from family camping trip to Hume Lake in the Sierras....end of May but can be very cold still as we have found before, checked the weather app once, twice, several times....mostly sunny, low sixties, 20% chance of a shower saturday, was sunny and 67' degrees when we arrived, rain that night after campfire and we were all tucked in tents, okay that's fine.....next morning after breakfast started to sprinkle no it's SNOWING!!!! we were all like little kids jumping around with excitement, laughing, building tiny snowmen, throwing snowballs until we realized it's brrrrr cold.....so off we pile into the trucks with heaters ahhhh now i can feel my fingers and toes....next day it's back to sunny again thank goodness....
back home loving my warm and comfortable bed.....

Oh that's just wrong! But I know where you're coming from!! One of the only times we routinely went camping was Memorial Day weekend - after countless times of being snowed upon (not fun doing tent camping...), I said no more camping for this Cranky Crow!! Glad you're snug and warm again!

Cheri, too funny, nothing more fun when it's raining or snowing and listening to the sounds on your tent. You all are having lots of fun anyway. Coldest I have ever been, Jim and I decided to go camping for a month, in October, from Texas to Canada and back. No one camps in Canada in October, had a make shift shower and my hair actually froze. The pleasure of your own bed.
