ooops....



spending the day machine quilting on a few finished xmas designs, ran out of bobbin thread and while changing the bobbin found this little spring had sprung, probably not good....machine is still sewing with feed dogs down going to try and get through them all before the machine possibly goes boing!!! 
wish me luck....

Nothing worse than being in a quilting groove and having the machine die.

My guess is that's the spring that attaches to the part that makes the feed dogs go up and around to feed your fabric through. So you won't notice it til you need those dogs! Mine fell off one time when I was cleaning out the bobbin area, and I just rehooked it! It doesn't look broken, just like it came off. Better than having to haul the machine in and pay $100 for them to do it! And by the way, I agree, those colors on your quilt are yummy!
