what i use ..... instant tea, whole bottle and approximately one-half cup instant coffee .....

into the pot ......

after soaking for a while, 30 minutes or more, wring out but don't rinse ......

then out in the sun to dry .....

What a great idea! I love that you leave them crinkled up! I'll bet the fabric looks awesome when it's done!
i will have to try that, haven't tried instant.
I use walnut ink but that can get expensive with large pieces.

I use the instant coffee to sun dye my muslin, but i've never mixed it with the tea...i'll have to try that sometime! Thanks for sharing this~

I've been looking for a good way to dye larger pieces. Is it permanent, or only semi-permanent? I hope you show these pieces when they are dry.
Can't wait to try this. Is the water hot when you add all of your fabric to the pot?
